Lady Drivers is a driving school in Cardiff. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, what we do with it, and your rights. We are responsible for your information (the “data controller”) under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, your message, and any of the boxes you tick (for example, whether you have a provisional licence).
- Discount voucher form: your email address.
- With either form: your IP address and basic details of your browser, which help us spot and block spam.
- When you phone or email us: whatever you choose to tell us.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about driving lessons.
- To email you the discount voucher you asked for.
- To protect the website from spam and misuse.
We only contact you about your driving lessons or your enquiry. We do not send marketing emails. Our legal basis is that you have asked us to do something (reply to you, or send a voucher) before you book lessons, and our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and voucher requests sent through the website are kept for 12 months and then deleted.
Who we share it with
We will never sell, rent or swap your personal information. It is only handled by the services that run this website and our email, which process it on our behalf. We also use these third-party services:
- Google reCAPTCHA checks that a form is being sent by a person rather than a robot. It only loads when you start to use one of our forms. Google receives information such as your IP address and how you use the page, under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
- Google Fonts, jsDelivr and code.jquery.com supply the fonts and code the site needs to display and work. Your browser fetches these files directly from them, so they receive your IP address. We do not use them to track you.
Cookies
This website sets one essential cookie that it needs to work. It is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If you use one of our forms, Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To do this, or if you have any questions about privacy, email info@lady-drivers.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
